How to delete Porting kit and remove existing wrapper?

#1
Hi everyone,

While setting up a game, I mistakenly installed mono. As suggested in another thread (http://portingkit.com/smf/index.php?topic=259.0, I''d like to remove the existing wrapper.

Is this the same as removing the game under Library?

Also, how do I uninstall the app completely? Is it the same as dragging the icon into the Trash?

Thanks in advance,

Chasinthedra

Once Mono gets installed it gets cached in the home directory. I still didn''t have enough time to install and look for its install location, so unfortunately I still don''t know where it''s installed. I should be somewhere inside ~/.cache/

In order to remove PK completely do the following:
1- Open the Porting Kit
2- Press Porting Kit -> Clear Porting Kit Caches
3- Confirm
4- Close and trash the Porting Kit

That should remove 99% of the Porting Kit contents from your computer, except for the local library, in case you install PK again in the future. In case you have no plans for installing it again in the future, you just need to remove that file:
~/Library/Preferences/edu.ufrj.vitormm.Porting-Kit.plist

With that, you will removed 100% of the Porting Kit and Wineskin related files. In case you only want to remove Porting Kit related files but not Wineskin, remove the following files and folder and then trash PK:
~/Library/Application Support/Porting Kit/
~/Library/Caches/edu.ufrj.vitormm.Porting-Kit/
~/Library/Preferences/edu.ufrj.vitormm.Porting-Kit.plist

As far as I know, these are all the Porting Kit related caches (the first one is used by PK itself, the second one is created by macOS to manage thing like the PK webviews caches, and the third one are the PK preferences, including the local library).

NOTE: The following folder is still not in the Porting Kit clear cache function, but it will be in the next release:
~/Library/Caches/edu.ufrj.vitormm.Porting-Kit/
