I am having the same problem. I’ve sent a note to Paul, awaiting an answer. Note that I also have Origin on my Mac (native, not through porting kit) and I can sign on OK with the native Origin client. Just not with the client included in my C&C install through portingkit.

I''m having the same issue. Anybody found a solution?

I had this problem on my Mac (native Origin, not within Portingkit) as well, and fixed it by following this thread:
https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issu...-p/4669309

However, it’s a Mac thread and doesn’t apply to Portingkit Origin issues as it’s running on Windows under Wine.

But reading through it might give you some ideas?

Additionally, this is a major problem reported by Windows users (quick google search shows this). It seems most people get it fixed by unchecking “Proxy” in their Internet Options on Windows. But how to do that in Wine? I don’t see any options in Wine/Portingkit relating to this.

Still stumped…

Hey Guys, Sorry for late answer. I will look into it.

Alright figured out what is the issue. An old issue has come back (probably because of a new update of Origin). Solution is quite simple, but I need to change all exe paths again because of it. Quick fix for you guys…

Download the latest setup file from Origin (windows exe) and place that in the c: of the game folder (click more —> open cSmile and then place the file in the c:\. Then go to more —> wineskin tools —> open wineskin —> advanced —> browse —> navigate to the setup file and click “choose”. This wil make portingkit start the origin.exe in good way without issues about offline.

can you guys confirm this for you too?

Hi, I had the same problem with the Burnout Paradise wrapper. Your solution works but I had to use this old installer
https://www.dm.origin.com/download/legacy
because with the one on the Origin download page I get a "Origin can only be installed on computers running Windows 7 or later" message.

Anyway now it works, thanks!
