Skyrim failing to Load

#1
Question
Greetings Fellow Mac Users!

I followed the instructions for using the porting kit to run Skyrim on my Mac. Everything seemed to be working, It even downloaded the game properly. The PLAY button became clickable finally, but when I click the PLAY button, it acts like it's loading up but then comes up with an error message saying that I need a 64bit version of Windows and then stops. Is there anything I can do?

Error Message says:
  • "The game you are installing requires a 64bit version of Windows. If you don't have such a PC available click below to learn about requesting a refund."

My Rig:
  • Mac Pro 5,1 (64 bit Intel cheese grater model)
  • OSX 10.14.6 (Mojave)
  • 3.46 GHz 12 core
  • Radeon RX 580 8GB GPU
  • 128 GB RAM

Are there any admin monitoring this site? There's some kind of spam response to my thread here and that's not a good sign.

Is this site dead? Is there another forum where I can go that has active members in it for questions about the steam porting kit?

Thanks for the reply. I was just wondering because I don't see any activity here. That spammer was the only one to respond in days. LOL

I still can't get around that error message. You'd think that who ever tooled WINE for the porting kit, would have factored in the 64bit Windows aspect.

My first thought when getting that error message was like, "Aye, I'm not running Windows, that's what you're suppose to fix, little porting kit!" heeheehee

A yes, regarding your issue. We have 2 version of Skyrim. The Normal Skyrim (32bit) and Skyrim SE.
You need the Skyrim SE version to install.

You need the Skyrim SE version to install.

EDIT:

Is the SE version the 64bit version?

I need a hand as well. Everything loads up fine, can click on the play screen but then when it goes full screen the screen goes greys can hear the music but nothing else after that. I'm not very tech savvy so any pointers will be a massive help cheers

I guess adding another request for help for Skyrim. Game runs beautifully graphically but then crashes without warning. Can't figure it out. Have tried seemingly every permutation of graphics settings. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both the porting kit and the wrapper and the game itself.

I'm having the exact same issues, with the same setup! Took me ages to get it to go fullscreen properly, with 3456x2234.

But yes, I've tried those same things and I still get almost constant, random crashes. Someone, somewhere must have a fix.
