PK on M1 Mac Error

Hello all,

Recently tried latest version of PK (4.0 Beta from main downloads page) on an M1 Macbook Air to try to install Pharaoh from GOG.

Followed all the directions in the accompanying page, however after install clicking "play" did nothing. Restarted the machine, and thought to try to download Steam via PK and try through there instead and encountered the error message attached, which reads:

"Warning - You have Wine processes running. We don't recommend running Wine ports while other Wine processes are running, since that may cause conflicts. Should the Porting Kit terminate those processes?"

No matter what I select from the options (Yes or No) nothing further happens. This Mac has no other instances of any sort of Wine, emulator, or virtualization software installed. Any help would be much appreciated!

i have the same problem with the same Mac, and i couldn't figure the problem out either. It's been a while since this subject was posted but i wanted to ask, did you find what is causing the problem?

Hi! Try updating to latest experimental version of PK and retry please. You can go toexperimental mode by going to the preferences (top bar) and select the experimental mode checkbox. Requires a few restarts of the app when asked.

Hello, thanks for the quick reply!

I tried this method too, i restarted it again twice but it still gives the same error. I checked the downloading methods of the game again (STALKER Anomaly) and i think did all of them correctly. If you have other ideas that i can try to make it work, i would appreciate it :D

Hi! I don't know if you're still having the problem, but it might have been caused by the ".exe" document you selected for the install, I downloaded PK recently and was having the same problem with my first app installation, but when i used the wine backup by selecting the containments of the app, i managed to install the app again and changed the installation document, when it was over i tried to open it, the same message appeared but when i clicked in the "yes" button it opened my app correctly! Hope this helps you and anyone who runs in the same problem   PS: Sorry if i said something incorrectly, i'm Brazilian
