Game runs perfectly (MB Pro M2) but trading button doesn't work

#1
Question
Anno 1404 runs perfectly on my Macbook Pro M2, which is absolutely awesome. Cool  I bought the Anno 1404 HE on Kinguin.

Now what's really annoying at this point is that one button in-game doesn't work.

When setting up trading routes, you have to click 'Create new Route'. It even flashes orange because the game hints you to go there. But when clicking 'Create new route'; nothing happens... Dodgy   Left click, right click, I googled around but no-one seems to have this problem. And the strange thing is however, it does work in the Venice add-on.

I'm very happy the game even works, but this small issue makes it hard to play because you can't send your ships anywhere automatically.

Hopefully someone can help!

I have exactly the same issue  Sad It's not possible to create trading routes. When clicking the button, nothing happens.

However the Venice edition didn't work at all for me... I was able to load the game fine but then the whole map is black in the game.

I was wondering, would there be a shortcut or could you mod the game somehow to create a shortcut for the creation of trading routes?
@dk_one I'll have a look at the Venice expansion. I know it launches but I can't recall whether it was playable (when trying, my attention went to testing the infamous button haha).

same issue here...
Venice vesion is running completely normal including trade routes.
but the regular one unfortunately doesn't allow me to create trade routes which is quite essential for the game. I hope this can be fixed somehow...
