C&C Red Alert 2/Yuri’s Revenge

So I was able to download and get Red Alert 2 to work but now I’m trying to get Yuri’s Revenge.

I’m following the direction under this link :

No CD patch “Yuri''s Revenge v1.001/ENGLISH [3.9 MB] NoCD Executable + Update” something isn’t going right. It says to open the .rar and inside will be two files “gamemd.exe” and “YURI.exe” however after I download and open the file the only thing my computer is showing is a “rpg-ra11.ace”.


Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I don’t know much things about that port, but I know about that extension. ACE is a compression format, like RAR, 7Z and ZIP. The files probably are inside it. Search for ''extract ace file mac’ on Google and you will find some options. I can’t recommend one because because the only time I saw a file like that I extracted it with a command line app.

Unfortunately there aren’t any programs these days that I can find that can extract and .ace file on a mac. The ones that used to no longer support it. I have tried been trying several different things and looking all over the internet and someone mentioned maybe someone else could send me those files via email?

I can get the game to load the start up menu but when I click the Yuri’s Revenge it says to insert the correct CD then restart. Still haven’t had any luck finding anything that can open up the .ace

All right, I''ve downloaded, installed WinACE throw a Wineskin port and extracted it. Here is a link to download it from my Dropbox account:

Alright I got those all the files to work now, but its still telling me to insert the correct CD and then restart… Not sure what the problem is now. Restarted everything and tried it again with all the working files and still the same result. Not sure where to go from here…

I’m using the C&C First Decade disk and downloading the C&C Red Alert 2 port from the server.

Update: I tried the no patch from the gamecopyworld.com and it still said the same thing. Also I’m not sure if it helps but when I open the game and it goes to the menu, if I try to open regular RA 2 it flashes the menu away and does nothing. Then the menu just comes back up.

I am still able to play RA 2 though from the wrapper I originally got from the paulthetall.com and following his video.
